Good things grow in Ontario....

I was cleaning up my hard drive and found these photos I took at Parkdale Market when I was visiting my mother in Ottawa late last summer.

Barb, I have to kind of smile at the produce pictures, but I wouldn't want you take it the wrong way. If we ever meet, may I tease you about them?

I'm back up and running, and wondered how you are doing.

My best,
Peg

Sure, I like to be teased. In our family we only tease people we like so teasing is a good thing.

Now why would you want to tease me about my produce pics? Don't they look scrumptious?

Oh I can't wait until the Farmer's Market is open! Bring on the good weather!

Your pictures are gorgeous. They look professional. The flowers, garlic, tomatoes...

About cauliflower, I'm reminded of a time a friend picked some from her mother's garden and someone remarked that it was so beautiful that he wanted to cry.

Leave it to you, to find the beauty... But no, I can't tease you. Maybe you missed it, but last fall, I posted a picture of an eggplant and cherry tomatoes.

regards!

Peg

HI Barb,
Nice veggies.
I am the Director of Slduge Watch, an environmental group here in Ontario. And while Ontario is spending $12.7M to sing "Good things grow - 0 - 0.....in Ontario"
they are promoting the use of sewage sludge, papermill sludge, and other industrial wastes onto Ontario farmlands.

We are calling for an end to using farmlands for spreading these filthy wastes. The Nationals Farmers Union, the Ecological Farmers, the NDP, the Green Party have all called for an end to sludge land application.

How about you, Barb?

Kind Regards
Maureen Reilly
